Hi everybody!
Well as the title says, my dives are over for this season... I reached my goals for this year. From May to October, 35 dives, a total divetime of 17h 20min and 2 courses (OWD and AOWD). I´ll upload pics from the last 5-10 dives as soon as I have the time.

Dive summary to date

Dive summary to date is 22 dives and 788 minutes. My goal for this year is 1000 minutes. It shouldn´t be impossible, there are at least 4-5 divestrips left in the calender. Every trip is at least 2-3 dives and one cylinder of air is good for about 40-50 minutes @ my current consumtionrate.

Iso-Melkutin, Loppi

On Sunday I went to Iso-Melkutin near Loppi, Finland. It was just a recreation dive because it´s been too long since my last dive. Next weekend there will be a wedding underwater. Tero, my diving instructor will be attending the wedding so it was a dress rehearsal for him.

After the dress rehearsal I got Tero´s camera and started taking pictures, and here they are...

AOWD

I did it, I pasted the AOWD course last Sunday. Now I'm waiting for the underwater pics I took. I excited to se how they turn out. I'll post the as I get them from my diving instructor.

New parts

Yesterday I bought a new hose for my octo, 150cm. This hose will replace my old 70cm octo hose.

My AOWD - course

Well it didn´t go like I hope, I mean my AOWD-course. There was two new guys joining us on our course, that was great. It´s always nice to meet new people, but this time it ment that they did the same stuff I did the time before. So me and Tommi had to wait.
Don´t get me wrong, I love to be under the surface, but I hade hope to have completed the course that weekend. My total dive time as of today is 599 min.

We did mange to do the search and recovery part. It was a great new experience, and to se how the lift bags actually work.

Now my sight is for Sunday, hopefully it will be the last part of my AOWD-course.

Tomorrow Hanko

Hi everybody!
Tomorrow, Maria, Laura, myself and the rest of the gang are heading to Hanko.
I will be taking part in my AOWD-course final dives. Hopefully everything goes like it should. :)
Tommi should be there as well and a new third guy, hmmm.... Maria, Laura and Rami are coming for moral support and to blow some bubbles... :)
I´ll try to find the time to tell about my dives next week.

Asikkala 24/7 2011

Wau, what a day. We left home @9:15 and arrived in Lahti ABC-fuelstation around 10:45. We waited for the rest of the group to arrive, after everybody had arrived and eaten we set off for our journey toward Asikkala.

Strait of it was Tommi and me who were up for the first dive, and it was the most exciting, our first deep dive (it was only to 21m but it was GREAT!) We did some math (part of the course!), and after that we started to ascent to 5m for a 3 min deco stop.

The second dive was a wreak dive, the is a old mining machinery down there. We studied it, made a drawing with the bearing and the measurements.

The third dive was a treasure hunt, rumor has that there should a car(s) buried there. Nope, no car(s) found. It´s a myth.

Upcoming dives

My upcoming divetrips are Saturday 23 July to Hanko and Sunday 24 July to Asikkala.
In Hanko I shall take part in a navigationdive (a prat of my AOWD course) and in Asikkala I´ll make my first deep dive (below 18m, also a part of the AOWD course). Hopefully everything will go as planed.

Tiilijärvi 10.7.2011

Because I haven´t got a answer from everybody that toke part in this trip, I wount post that many pictures. This trip was to Tiilijärvi Hollola,Finland. We went there to clean the bottom of the lake and contributed to the Project AWARE.

Hanko OWD course 2.7.2011

Maria (my wife) participated and passed the Padi OWD course on July 2nd 2011. Here are pictures from that course.

The same week-end it was the Hanko Regatta, this was 2 guys that had rented a chopper to take them there. It landed maby 30 meters from our camp. Great job guys, now that making a entrance!

Divetrip to Asikkala 12.6.2011

I currently own a Ursuk Heavy Light Rescue drysuite, Aqua Lung Pro QD BCD, Poseidon Xstream regulator, Mares fins and 6.5mm 5-finger gloves, Technisub Favola mask, Suunto D9 dive computer and Suunto SK-7 compass + some misc equipment
